Junior College path

USA Collegiate has partnered with SUU to provide PLAYBOOK, a Speedway Program. Students receive expert tutoring, peer support, and a trove of resources to help guide them in their academic pursuits. Students are taught to be successful, both academically and professionally, as academic coaches help students learn communication skills, study techniques, organization tools, and academic research and software abilities.

Our players learn to be academic successes, not just for football, but for LIFE.

“We are so impressed with USA Collegiate’s commitment to the preparation and success of their student-athletes for college and for their future,” said Lynn Kvamme, SUU Online Director of Partnerships. “SUU’s Speedway program seems to be a perfect fit for this partnership. We are truly honored to be part of USA Collegiate’s vision.”

Speedway students earn their Bachelor of General Studies degree with 100 percent online learning in as few as three years. Classes are only seven weeks long, and transfer credits are accepted. Financial barriers are removed thanks to federal financial aid, providing a path to an accredited education for students where, when and how they need it.

Players are eligible for our JuCo path if they are under 22 years of age and have passed or are uninterested in a prep year.

Speedway Program

SUU Speedway is our main partner program and our most popular path. Speedway is an online-only program, meaning classes are not simply lectures recorded and posted online, but designed from the ground up to be taken online.

Credits costs are some of the lowest in the country, and the lowest cost for a Bachelor’s degree program in Utah.

  • Utah Residents: $119 per credit hour
  • Out-of-State Residents: $149 per credit hour

Players in this program are focused on getting their Associate’s degree, but can continue on to a Bachelor’s degree with a General Studies major if they want.

Flexible Academics with Outside Institutions

The SUU Speedway program remains our primary partner and we will always recommend Speedway unless there is a reason to go elsewhere, but we completely understand that it will not be the best fit for all players. If another institution has a specific program or has offered a player a scholarship too good to turn down, we will work with the player to ensure a helpful and healthy relationship with that institution.

Players should understand, however, they will be required to provide everything to us that SUU does, including grades and course syllabi. Before any decisions are made, players should always speak to their student support specialist to determine what the best path forward should be.

NO academics is never an option. Players MUST participate in academics during their entire tenure with the team.
